Tomac had no mercy with his rivals in the University of Phoenix Stadium.

In front of almost 55.000 fans, Eli took the holeshot, followed by Justin Barcia and Jason Anderson. Weston Peick had a great start too and the Suzuki rider was in the 2nd position at the end of the first lap.

However, Weston didn’t hang in there for too long. Justin Barcia was the first of a long list to overtake the Yoshimura Suzuki racer. Ken Roczen, who didn’t have a great start, managed a nice comeback up to the last podium spot.

Another rider who had a bad start was the returning Marvin Musquin, who had a short battle with the championship leader Anderson, who almost crashed after a mistake.

At the front, Tomac, who led all the laps in the Glendale Main Event, picked his 2nd win in a row, with Barcia and Roczen completing the top3, in less than 4 seconds.

Jason won the battle with Marvin for the 4th place, but the championship leader couldn’t do better than that, missing the podium for the first time this season.

However, the Husqvarna factory rider still leads the series, with 89 points, 9 more than Barcia. Roczen is down to 77 right now, while Weston Peick and Cole Seely complete the top5, with 71 and 70 points respective.

The next round will be held this weekend, in Oakland.
